15.06.2021 - Office work pandemic style

There is no doubt that COVID-19 has made significant changes in the people’s lives in the whole world, especially in the business area. The virus and quarantine measures have led to the decline in economic activity and even the bankruptcy of small companies. In the light of this situation, people most often began to shop online for security reasons. This served as a boon for many "survived companies" to refuse to rent offices and transferred their employees to work remotely.

Currently, a whole lot of commercial property is free. As of the end of 2020, approximately 15-20% of offices in the capital and other big cities of Ukraine are not occupied.

Those who have transferred to the remote work are in no hurry to return to the office and, taking into account the quarantine measures of the subsequent predicted waves, they are not sure in the long term office lease generally.

According to experts, tenant companies want to rent an office without intermediaries in order to save their money and in some cases with the possibility of sublease, if the contract allows it.

Coworking spaces have the best of a bargain. In the first half of 2020, 10 places were opened only in the capital, the total area of which exceeds 23 thous. sq.m. Coworking spaces are convenient because you can rent a small office, conference room, meeting room, or workplace for any length of time and on any terms, which is especially true for near freelance activities. Furthermore, the coworking spaces are usually located close to the city center or near traffic intersections, and, to top it all, the workplaces are fully equipped and have access to high-speed Internet.

However, the best option for private business and small production, providing both privacy and the safety of their own equipment, is their own office. And, besides, someone has to work in the office?) And to save your money, we recommend that you rent an office from the owner and without intermediaries.
